08:30-08:45 – Welcome and Introduction, benefits of USS at the front door, what is FICE? Level 1 thoracic. Process of accreditation – Dr Clare.
08:45-09:10 – Knobology and Basics of USS – Dr Clare
09:10-09:35 – Chest – Theory including BLUE Protocol, Normal and Pathology – Dr Duncan.
09:35-09:50 – Vascular Access & Leg Scans – DVT – Dr Duncan.
09:50-10:00 – Break
10:00-12:00 – Chest and Leg Scanning Practical – Normal, pathology & needling chest.
12:00-12:40 – LUNCH
12:40-13:15 – ECHO- Standard Views, Normal (LV size and function, RV and Valves, volume and pericardium) - Dr Clare.
13:15–14:15 – Scanning (achieve standard views).
14:15-14:45 – Echo pathology – Dr Clare
14:45-16:00 – Scanning – normal and pathology including peri-arrest stations with videos.
16:00-16:30 – Governance & quality assurance – Dr Clare.
